Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid." - Albert Einstein

"Fish in a Tree" is by far the best book I have read all spring and it is currently in the running to be the best book I have read all year. The main character Ally Nickerson is struggling. Her father who is a soldier is deployed, her grandfather has just passed away and she is hiding a big secret at school that keeps getting her in trouble. I love this book, because it is inspiring and makes you think about your choices & what type of person you want to be. My only problem with it is that the characters are a little cookie-cutter, but if you cheer for the underdog this will be a great read for you!
