"Fish in a Tree" is by far the best book I have read all spring and it is currently in the running to be the best book I have read all year. The main character Ally Nickerson is struggling. Her father who is a soldier is deployed, her grandfather has just passed away and she is hiding a big secret at school that keeps getting her in trouble. I love this book, because it is inspiring and makes you think about your choices & what type of person you want to be. My only problem with it is that the characters are a little cookie-cutter, but if you cheer for the underdog this will be a great read for you! </div>

The creaky smuggler’s inn is always quiet during this season, and twelve-year-old Milo, the innkeepers’ adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. But on the first icy night of vacation, out of nowhere, the guest bell rings. Then rings again. And again. Soon Milo’s home is bursting with odd, secretive guests, each one bearing a strange story that is somehow connected to the rambling old house. As objects go missing and tempers flare, Milo and Meddy, the cook’s daughter, must decipher clues and untangle the web of deepening mysteries to discover the truth about Greenglass House—and themselves. </span><br />
